WSAPI Maximum Page Size

It would be nice if WSAPI allowed to increase the maximum page size. There are many cases where I am recruiting several thousand work items, and I need only one field per record. Engaging 200 records at a time means a long wait time for the user when hundreds of individual pages load.

The LBAPI page size should be some indication that this is certainly possible. The maximum page size (if I remember correctly) is 10,000. I understand that it returns less information per record (OIDs instead of full objects), but with WSAPI optimization regarding bandwidth (without returning full details), it looks like 200 is terribly low.

There are two problems here that contribute to the slowness here. The first is the small page size. Currently, there is an internal discussion about the need to catch up to 1000 (especially since now in v2.0 collections are not returned in the request).

Secondly, right now WsapiDataStore is doing its paging sequentially. The first page should always load sequentially, but after that the remaining n-1 should be executed in parallel.

There is a defect tracking the second element, which I hope will be considered in the near future. Hope that the first element also draws some attention.
