ASF Streaming on Android?

I am currently testing whether it is possible to write an Android application that shows the stream of my IP webcam (Foscam Fi8918w). I know that there are some applications that can do this, but the applications do not have the necessary functions.

Analyzing the cam, I found an ASF stream with two built-in streams:

Stream 1: Motion JPEG Video (MJPG) at 640 * 480

Stream 2: IMA WAV ADPCM Audio (8000 Hz, 16 bit mono)

Then I searched for Google instructions for Android ASF without any results. The only thing I found is an Android Android player that does not support it.

Wikipedia had a link to the ASF specification , so there was no magic for it. Is there no other way to do this except to implement everything yourself?

You might want to try RockPlayer [Lite Version, Free] . Unlike most other media players, including the stock, it implements software decoding, so it supports more formats.

I don't know if it will decode your ASF stream, but since it's free, try it. If not, I emailed several ideas to developers who were integrated several times. They may want to add support if you contact them.
