How to install help pages for standard C library features on Mac OS X

I want to see the mag page of some of the standard library functions on Mac os X, while I typed man setsockopt , it returns to No manual entry for setsockopt . Does this mean that I have not set the man pages for the c standard? How to install it?

Mac OS X is not a full feature when it comes to development. Installing Xcode and its command line tools will give you what you need, as well as a compiler, etc. Xcode 4 is free on the Mac App Store, and you will need to install the command-line tool module after installing Xcode by going to Xcode-> Settings β†’ Downloads-> Components

In all of this, what I was missing was that I had previously set the environment variable MANPATH, and this did not indicate all the places where man pages could be found. Removing this variable was enough to fix my problem.
