Is there a way to set the timeout value for MediaPlayer so that it does not cause an error so quickly if the video does not play?
The problem is that my videos are on a CDN. If the video has not yet been cached on the CDN, then it may take a little to download the video, while the first person will get access to the video. On other platforms (i.e. the HTML5 tag) this is not a problem - the video plays very well.
My theory is that MediaPlayer tries to play videos from time to time.
If this is true, is it possible for me to change when the timeout occurs? If I cannot set this value, is there any other proven method that might work?
ps My application is designed for the Google TV platform.
