For a public blog, we currently use the default text editor. It's like content editors, not html writers.

Now on a specific post / user page we want to add tabular data using the html table. The rich text editor in tumblr does not support table creation, so we switched to the html editor. The Tumblr toolbar highlights many different HTML tags. They are visible in your topic, but on the dash they are either deleted without a trace, or replaced with a small symbol "embedded content".

If you need a dash table, you may need to use an image. Personally, I would have included the Read More break to direct people to view all of this on your blog, but it won’t work inside an application or slide panel, etc.
