Jetbrains PyCharm with Enthought Canopy

New for python. Tried IDE and distributions. I used Jetbrains and it seems the most mature. People in the project, such as a scientific distribution (Continum IO and Enthought). I tend to Enthought, since NetCDF libraries are packaged for all platforms.

Interestingly, the trick is to force PyCharm in the Python Environment in Canopy? Both Mac and windows.

Tried the paths listed here: https://support.enthought.com/entries/23646538-Make-Canopy-s-Python-be-your-default-Python-ie-on-the-PATH-

but Dialog says pyvenv.cfg is not a proper Python SDK. Tried Python.exe in the scripts directory.

In my case (mac) the path of the interpreter:

~ / Library / Enthought / Canopy_32bit / User / bin / python

I also had trouble getting PyCharm and Canopy to work well together when Canopy was new. Now with version 1.3 I had no problems - they work together without problems.

When creating a new project, you need to find the place where you installed enthought and associate Python.exe with the interpreter field shown below:
