I have an aspx web form page that invokes an SSRS SQL 2012 report hosted on a SQL 2012 Reporting Services server and uses the report viewer to display the report on an aspx page.
The problem is when I click on the link to send the parameters to the report server and run the report freezing on the page (only in IE). There is a 500 error in the IIS logs on the server in the logs matching the request. There is no corresponding error message in the event viewer window on the server. When I watch it on the violin, the request exits, but nothing is returned.
When I try to go to a page in any browser other than Internet Explorer, it displays correctly. It is strange that when I first deployed it and looked through it using IE, it worked correctly, but after about 5-10 minutes a problem arose. If I execute IISRESET on the server, it works correctly, but again after 5-10 minutes (or, perhaps, after a certain amount of use) the problem occurs again.
I didnβt change anything in the reports, the report server or on the page causing the reports, so this is not a simple C # error. The only thing that has changed in the configuration file is some lines of connection with the entity infrastructure.
If anyone has an idea of ββwhat to look for in order to help figure out what causes this, I would really appreciate it.
EDIT: The request returns in about ten minutes or so with the report. Therefore, for any browser other than IE, the report is immediately returned, and 500 errors do not occur on the server. For IE, 500 error appears in IIS logs and after 10-15 minutes of waiting the server returns a report
EDIT: An example of what appears in the IIS log for a failed IE request:
