AdMob and how does it work?

I am confused about AdMob. I just signed up and I want to advertise in the app. I went to add a site / application, thinking what it was. There is a question and a field that talks about the Android package package. I clicked on the question mark and it talks about formatting it like this market: // details? Id =. Firstly, it talks about how he will link my application to advertising, so if someone clicks on it, he will go to my application on the market. Well, I have not put the application on the market yet, and I do not think that this is even the correct URL, and I am trying to get an addition in my application, and not add my application. Can someone please enlighten me about how it all works and how to set it up, where I can have ads in the application. Thanks

When registering with AdMob, they want to see where your application is located, but this is not an important part of the process from your point of view.

Basically, for AdMob (as well as a number of other similar sites), you download a small SDK that you add to your Android application. This SDK usually has a view that you can use for one of your activities. You give this control some information, such as the AdMob private key (so that it knows who you are), and then this control will provide an advertisement from the server. Note: this usually doesn’t work right off the bat, and there is a “development mode” that you can set to always repel a fake ad while you just work on it.

You can also subscribe to several sites and check out AdWhirl, which allows you to control the ratio of ads displayed on each site, as you will find that some sites will generate more revenue for you than others.

Good luck

Although this is an older post, but still, if it helps anyone who wants to show ads in their application. Based on many findings with friends, I suggest looking for a different ad network than admob. Imagine that you installed everything correctly, follow the rules correctly, feel happy in your income through advertising on the admob console, and then suddenly one day you will receive an email from google admob stating that your account has been suspended for an invalid activity. What does it mean? In simple words, this means that Google does not tell you what you did wrong, and save all your income. Naturally, each novice developer agrees that admob is Google’s own advertising network. But do not fall into this trap, if you do not want to lose your money, it is better to avoid taking.

It would be nice if readers shared their experiences with another ad network. It can help all of us, I think.

Edit: I put this in a comment initially, but it seems to have answered better as an answer.

Google continues to switch location of Admob integration instructions, which infuriate me. Over the past 6 months, he has moved 3 times. It was originally beautifully executed in wiki format, then moved to a PDF file, and now it is part of the Google code website, which is here .

On this site you will find what you need, but unfortunately you will have to dig a bit to get everything you need.
