How to debug Android application on Samsung Smart TV

I am a software programmer creating an Android application for Smart TV (Samsung). I would like to debug my project on Smart TV in the same way as I can enter debug mode on my Android phone. I tried searching, but to no avail. Can anyone guide me through this? Thanks.
