I know that I can check "Do not load tabs until it is selected" in the "Options" window, but this will only stop reloading the tabs automatically and still reload the tab that I click on - I DO NOT want this!

I want to reload each tab myself.

The reason is that sometimes I have several tabs with the text area of ​​the SQL administrators commands, which is cleared upon reboot. You probably get how happy I am every time I have to remind teams.

I do not think that it is possible to disable the loading of clicked tabs. But you can try, for example, the Work Offline addon , which makes it easy to switch Firefox offline. Firefox loads a clickable tab from its cache offline and can save your text fields.
