Drive SDK Client Id

I created the application following the guide of Google Quickstart for Google SDK. When I set up the project in the api console, I am assigned the client ID. But I do not use this client identifier anywhere. What is the use of customer id? Should I have it somewhere in my statement?

On Android, your SHA1 certificate certificate and package name together is a unique identifier for your application. As long as these two matches match the information you provided in the API console, the Drive API will know who you are. You do not need to provide your client. If you do not remember, to provide these two information, you must make a special client identifier for Android, as shown here .
