Annoying beep in ms is superior when switching between books

For some reason, MS Excel 2010 makes a beep when switching from one workbook to another in the same instance. It doesn't matter if I press Alt-Tab or mouse. Does anyone know how to disable this? I searched the Internet and found similar complaints, but have not yet decided.

This seems to be a bug in Excel, but a specific sound event can be disabled in Windows.

Control Panel > Sound > Sounds > Default Icon β†’ (No) in the drop-down list.

Another workaround is to open Excel workbooks as separate instances.

Right click on Excel in the taskbar> select Microsoft Excel 2010 .

This has the added benefit of allowing you to see books side by side, but eliminates the possibility of using an extended copy between books (for example, formatting copies or transposing).

Found this answer, and it worked: In Excel, go to File > Options > Add-ons > From the drop-down list below, select Manage COM Add-ons > Click Go . Remove the add-in and the sound is gone

I could not find an answer about why he was doing this for me, but I just went into my sounds in the windows and deleted the sound that was leaving, and I never heard it again. I don’t remember which one I turned off (I think it was the default beep) because it was on my old computer with office 2007. I would try trial and error and just delete that sound from this even.

EDIT

If you open Excel, click the big button in the upper left corner and go to excel options at the bottom β†’ go to the β€œAdvanced” tab β†’ General section (at the bottom), uncheck the Provide Feedback with sound box, which will turn off sounds when switching tabs.

On Windows 8, the following solution works. Go to "Settings" (scrolling the right side of the screen) β†’ Personalization-> Sounds and makes "No sound." This mutes all system sounds except when you play a song, etc. Or, in general, when a program intentionally generates sound.

I tried another solution to disable COM add-ins in Excel. I tried the most useless view of the COM add-in listed on my machine, which was an Acer Cloud Excel add-in. I unchecked the box and the sound disappeared.
