Function (el, ev), what does this mean?

when i have something like this

".mylabel click": function (el,ev){ //mycode in here } 

what does el mean? what does ev mean?

I tried to find it in canjs, but not enough information.

Typically, el will be the element that received the click event. ev is the actual click event that will tell you if the user has right-clicked or left-clicked ... etc.
