How to sketch with a photo taken from a camera?

In my application, I use the external camera application to take a photo and save it to an SDCard, and I need a square image of this photo. I managed to crop the square of the sketch sent by the camera with the intention, but since I save the photo to disk, the goal is empty, and my old method of making the square of the picture Bitmap cropped = Bitmap.createBitmap(source, 0, 0, min, min) throws an OutOutMemory exception.
