Is it possible to create an rpm package without creating a tar.gz archive?

For me, creating a tar.gz archive is redundant because I export the source code from svn. Perhaps you can make an rpm archive without automatically unpacking the archive? (Perhaps it is only possible to copy files from the source folder for the assembly or something like this)?

There is no documentation in this, but yes, you can simply list the file if you want. Here 's a great discussion about this, as well as proper use directly from Fedora.
