Choose personalized topics through Google News RSS

I want to include news on my website, but the main topics should be “books” or “authors”, etc. Basically, I need to choose my own topics, such as the two mentioned by me or the name of the author.

But I can’t figure out how to do this, since the documentation is really poor (or I can’t find it).

What is the query parameter to add this?

I am getting this for RSS currently:

http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&topic=n&output=rss

In order to receive and create Google News items from topics that are not on the list (main headlines, world, business, country, science and technology, elections, politics, entertainment, sports, health), you will need to go to the Custom sections catalog .

In this section, you browse and download the topic in which you want to send news, and extract the RSS link that appears at the bottom of the page.

For example, if you want to get only the Google News topic for literature, you end up with a feed URL:

 http://news.google.com/news/section?pz=1&cf=all&csid=725f40c3dd857970

Here is the topic id that you will need (literary in this example):

 csid=725f40c3dd857970

What can be found when you go through the page of the catalog of user sections.

If you want to do this using the JavaScript API to search Google News , don't because you cannot rely on it much longer. It has been closed since May 26, 2011 .

Your url is close. Try the following:

 http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&q=SEARCH_TERM&output=rss

Just replace SEARCH_TERM with your query parameter.
