Android How to read Aztec codes from my application?

I would like to integrate the Aztex reader application into the application. I need control over the GUI for

  • place a few buttons around the camera window by reading the code
  • to turn on / off the camera (to save the battery)

What I found was

  • ZXing is not yet reliable.
  • Applications with their own SDKs, such as neoreader , which do not give me control over my GUI.

Is there a solution for this problem? Maybe som libs? Own libraries?

I found a proprietary library from manateeworks.com. They offer a lib that can be used to decode Aztec codes.

In case someone is looking for a more relevant answer to this question, as it was when I came across this topic a couple of hours ago:

From version Google Play Services 8.4.0 , Aztec barcodes are supported in the vision.barcode package . Thus, now you can detect them from the camera in the same way as for other supported barcode types .
