The risks of switching to Windows 8?

I am a desktop computer and a .NET / C # web developer. My computer has fried and I get a new one. They are pushing me towards Windows 8 for the OS - although I really hesitate to move from Windows 7. I wonder if any developers have made this update, and if so, what headaches or pitfalls can hit me?

In particular, I ask if there are any conflicts in Windows 8 with any development tools that I would use: Visual Studio 2010/2012, IIS, ASP.NET web applications, WinForms and WPF applications, DevExpress controls, etc. .d. it will be a smooth transition - does anyone have problems with these tools or something that I might not have thought about updating my OS version?

Based on my experience, it is basically the same for developers. Everything that Visual Studio works the same, except that you got IE 10, and every time you have to run the application, you need to go back to the tile screen, which I find annoying, but I create shortcuts for them on the desktop. Then there is not much difference.

There applications, such as the free Classic Shell , will bring back some of the earlier versions of Windows, such as the Start menu.
