SQL Server notification on query execution?

Question

I am using SQL Server Management Studio (2008 R2) and I have no sound / speakers. How to get a visual notification when a request is executed (possibly a pop-up notification)? Currently, I have to constantly check / check if my request is being fulfilled and it becomes tedious.

You can always put a query on the SQL agent job step and receive it by email when it finishes.
