The dynamic CRM module registration tool returns an unsecured or incorrectly protected error

I got an error while trying to register a plugin using the plugin registration tool in the SDK. The problem comes out of nowhere, as until today I have always easily registered the plugin with the tool.

Error message:

Unhandled exception: System.ServiceModel.Security.MessageSecurityException:

An unsecured or improperly protected refusal was received from the other party.

Internal exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException: An error occurred while checking the security for the message.

I performed my search and already tried several steps that are usually offered:

  • Delete the LiveDevice.xml file in the Users {username} \ LiveDeviceID section
  • Removing the Connections.config file in the plugins registration folder
  • Reboot the computer.
  • Verify that the discovery URL is correct (using: https://disco.crm5.dynamics.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc )
  • Download and use the latest SDK.

My environment is the 64-bit version of Windows 8.

However, he did not solve my problem. Are there any steps or things that I missed or could do wrong?

Following Guido's comments on the date and time of the PC, I check the time zone of Dynamic CRM Online 2011, it turns out that it is set to (GMT +8 Krasnoyarsk), since I live in Singapore, I changed it (GMT +8 Singapore, Kuala- Lumpur).

This is a long shot since GMT is the same (+8), but I try it anyway and find out that it fixed the problem, I double-check it and change it again to Krasnoyarsk, and again it doesn’t work.

I am not sure why this causes this, since it is the same GMT, but for now I agree with this, perhaps I will raise a new topic for this later.
