Redirect tomcat to maintenance page when my tomcat is down

Question

I just joined the new company, and I was told that the sites they have used tomcat. And they want to show a custom web page when tomcat is not working. currently it will show error 500. I am the only person in the IT team at the moment and I am pretty new to tomcat and don't know tomcat knowledge. Can someone explain how to set up a custom webpage when tomcat is not working? I use only tomcat, not apache or load balancer infront from tomcat. Thanks in advance.

You must use apache 2 or load balncer before tomat. And set up the maintenance page in apache or load balancer.
