Hey, so I have a website that has videos compiled from places on the Internet, primarily youtube, but several others. Now I'm wondering if there is a way to check the link to make sure they are still accessible through the unix shell. (My idea of running cron to check the videos is still available, and if you don’t delete them.) I know that I can use the user for this, but it always bothered me, and I was wondering if there is a way to check the flash video playback, though terminal. update . It so happened that through the api tube I could check the status of the video coming from youtube (which is the beginning). But I would like to know if there is anything else that is not a specific player, but just calls the video to play in the same way as the user.
