Data file size does not decrease when removed from ravendb

Question

I used the following code to delete documents from RavenDB. At the bottom of the Raven user interface, I see that the number of documents is reduced from 3,000,000 to 2,000,000. But the size of the data file is not reduced. It is always around 100G.

store.DatabaseCommands.DeleteByIndex("Sagas/ByStarted", new IndexQuery { Query = "Started:{00010101000000 TO 20130101000000}", }); 

Server Build # 960, Client Build # 960 Please help ...

This is by design. By default, we do not allocate space for the OS. We continue and reuse this space as needed. If you really need to trim the file size, you will need to combine db, but this is a standalone operation.
