CSS3 hover effects have a weird effect on other elements in Chrome

I just created one of my images with this CSS3 hover effect: http://tympanus.net/Tutorials/OriginalHoverEffects/index2.html

The problem is that in Chrome, some other elements on the page affect this hover effect. For example, when I find an image, my links on the top menu item are moved 5 pixels to the right and back when the hover effect ends. Thus, a couple of elements of block quotes are affected. It seems that some of these other elements have been padded with the CSS3 transition effect in some strange way.

I do not see any of these problems in IE and Firefox, so this problem only occurs in Chrome.

Did any of you have anything like this before?

I just had to apply: -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; for all affected elements, and everything works well in Chrome.
