Your ad unit is most likely invalid. You need to access the DFP account that you are using and verify that the network ID, ad unit name, and dimensions are correct. There may not be any suitable ads, or something really can happen really ... but, as you say, the test ad works, so most likely something is wrong in DFP.
I usually work with DFP on websites, so with the Admob SDK everything can be a little different, but if this is some help, I have this little tool that I use to check the delivery of ads in DFP:

You can also press CTRL + F10 to open the DFP web console and get more information about the delivery of the advertisement ... but, as I said, this may not be much help, because this is an Admob announcement .. but itβs worth doing this is!
