How to check if a device is registered in MDM

Question

I'm looking for an API that will let me check if an MDM profile is installed on the device.

It will not be sent to the AppStore, so the private API will be fine with me. However, it should work in a phone prison (therefore, jailbreak solutions do not apply).

I am looking for a way to determine on an iOS device whether this device will be registered (other than checking on the MDM server which devices are registered).
