Installing a management source using Lotus Notes Designer 8.5.3 Missing SDK SDK

Question

We want to use subversion as a control source for our Lotus Notes applications. Niklas Heidloff has published documentation on how to add the necessary applications to our 8.5.3 designers to connect to the repository.

Unfortunately, someone changed the folder for the GEF SDK resource on the eclipse download page. The required 3.6.2 SDK has been moved from update updates to the archive folder. We tried to modify the associates.xml file to use the new archive folder, but the installation still failed because it is still trying to get sdk from the update folder.

Can you help with this?

Until we have a full openNTF update site (if we have permission), here are some instructions for creating a custom update site for your own use.

• Get the GEF 3.6.2 Runtime Package -> http://www.eclipse.org/gef/downloads/
• Open Eclipse (test suite using Helios and Indigo Release) with an empty (or new workspace)
• Import functions and plugins GEF 3.6.2 (these are 2 steps)

• Do the same with these update sites: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/subversive/0.7/builds/Subversive-incubation-0.7.9.I20100512-1900.zip http : //community.polarion.com/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/builds/Subversive-connectors-2.2.2.I20100512-1900.zip ----> SHORT TIP: extract the .jar files by function, otherwise You could not import them.

• You now have a workspace with features and plugins

• Create an update site project and assign all the functions from your workspace to this update site

I heard this question five times this week. I don’t know what exactly has changed, but one person told me that he would want to host the full update site on OpenNTF. I will also point him to this post.
