Unable to view recently added website in IIS 7

I have one site (mydevbox.com) that is configured and I am browsing from IIS to get the standard IIS 7 welcome screen.

I am setting up a second site (playground.com), so I will not bother with the settings of the first. I want to maintain a normal development setup, such as production, so I don’t have to worry about configuration problems like this.

Right now, there are no distinguishable differences between the two configurations. I have a playground for using a different port (8070) than mydevbox (80). I stopped mydevbox and set the playing field to use the same application pool to check these settings, and I still cannot get the welcome screen. Instead, I get this error:

Oops! Google Chrome could not find playground.com:8070

Any ideas on what else I could check?

You must add the host to the host file located in the C: \ Windows \ System32 \ drivers \ etc \

In your case, it will be:

 127.0.0.1 mydevbox.com 127.0.0.1 playground.com
