I created a multi-sized icon with four sizes: 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 256x256. Each size has 3 color depths: 32 bits, 8 bits and 4 bits, with the exception of 256x256, which is only 32 bits, as I read somewhere. I added it to the resources and configured the icon in the application properties.
Now, when I scale the view in Windows Explorer, it only shows 48x48 at max. For larger sizes, my icon is simply located in the middle.
How to prepare and use the icons for display?
