Create msi installer

Visual Studio 2010 did not help me create a deployment project to create an MSI installer using msbuild. I will be asked to write a python script that automatically creates and creates the msi installer. I came up with a solution to use the wix tool. But I have no idea about this. Please offer me an idea for this. thanks in advance

however, since .vdproj files are no longer supported in VS2012, I suggest you learn how to use the WIX installer.
