Windows 8 cannot access the wamp site from another computer on the local network

I have installed

windows 8 Wamp server

here I added my local site, but as you know, I can access

 http://localhost/test

from this computer, where I installed wamp, the ip address is = 10.0.1.1 now from the computer I can miss

 http://10.0.1.1

but from another computer I can’t access this 10.0.1.1, but this connection is excellent , I can ping

The most likely reason is a firewall block, be sure to add an exception to the firewall exception list to allow the connection.

I solved the problem by disabling the firewall for port 80.

  • Go to Search on the right side of the window.
  • look for a firewall.
  • open the "advanced firewall."
  • Go to inbound rules.
  • Click "New Rule".
  • select the "Port" option.
  • click "next"
  • select the "TCP" option.
  • select "Specific local ports:".
  • enter "80" in the following text box
  • Click on.
  • select "Allow connection."
  • Click "Next."
  • Click "Next."
  • enter the name "Allow port rule 80".
  • Click "Next."

Note. This is not a safe way. delete this newly created rule when you finish your work.
