LocationManager.requestLocationUpdates add or update?

Question

I am looking at the LocationManager to get the best place for periodic reporting. I'm interested in the LocationManager.requestLocationUpdates method. What happens if I call this method several times using different minTime and minDistance without calling removeUpdates? Will he add a new query or just update an existing one?
I'm trying to check it out, at the moment it's a little hard. Your answer will be appreciated.

It will update the existing request.

Use the new location API for android, they made it very accurate and consume less battery power.
