Create RTF, DOC or DOCX in iOS

I want to create one of the following file types from the iOS-App: RTF, DOC or DOCX. The user should be able to write text , as well as add images to it. Building a user interface is not a problem, but only creating a file.

Is there any best practice for this ?!

A third-party Framework is an option, but I would like to do it myself.

I can help you with docx files (RTF files are simpler and doc files are the same as docx but less organized)

I think the best thing you could do is start by opening the docx file in a text editor. First you unzip the file.

You will have the following folders

>_rels >customXML >docProps >word: >_rels: document.xml.rels //this document tells word where the images are situated >media //Here are the images >theme >document.xml //Here is the actual content of the file >header1.xml //Here is the content of your header >[Content_Types].xml

To insert any text, see the document.xml file.

Docx uses the <w:p> tags for paragraphs. It uses <w:r> for text blocks that have the same format. It uses <w:t> for the actual text

This will create a simple Hello world.

The identifier (13) inside this tag: <wp:docPr id="13" name="Image 13"/> must be unique. Then run document.xml.rels to see where the image is.
