Change the hour when org-mode starts a new day

I use org-mode to monitor my work, and sometimes I work after midnight for several hours.

So, for example, I started the time, starting from 06/03/2013 10 p.m. and ending on 06/04/2013 2 a.m.

And org-mode divides it by 0am starting from the new day. But it would be more convenient for me if the time from 0 am to 2 am was registered on 06/03/2013 instead of 04/04/2013.

So, I want to be able to indicate at what time (say, 4am) org-mode decides to start a new day.

I can use a workaround by changing the time zone for the emacs process, but then I need to keep in mind that all the recorded time is shifted ... Not very convenient.

See the variable org-extend-today-until , a variable defined in org.el

Documentation:
The hour when your day really ends. Must be an integer. This affects the following applications:

  • When you switch the agenda to today. This is even earlier than the time given here, the day recognized today TODAY, actually yesterday.
  • When the date is read by the user and it is before the specified time here, the current date and time will be considered yesterday, 23:59. In addition, timestamps inserted in capture patterns follow this rule.
