How To Solve Eclipse Team Foundation Server Download Mapping Error?

I am working on an Eclipse Team Foundation Server Explore (TFS), but as soon as I turn off the project and delete it (select "Delete contents in the pop-up dialog box"), then load the project into TFS, a yellow exclamation mark of the project menu will appear, and it says: " The selected project is displayed locally in the project folder and cannot be imported. " But I was sure that my local file does not exist and it is deleted by me. So, I want to know, is this a way to remove the mapping? I worry about this because I need to create a new workspace while I want to load the project after deleting the project. Thank you for your help.

Team Foundation Server workspace mappings exist on both the server and client. Disable Project Forever disables Team Explorer Everywhere as the source control provider from these Eclipse projects. It does not remove the display of the workspace. Therefore, you cannot create new folders in these existing locations.

The โ€œDisable Project Foreverโ€ step is not needed here, and if you simply delete projects in Eclipse, Team Explorer Everywhere will delete work folders from the workspace.

The problem is that you deleted the files directly from the folder. You must remove the display by following these steps: - Go to Team Explorer โ†’ Source Control . - Right-click on the folder / project that you have before - Select Delete association

Then the selected project can be imported.

If you deleted your workstation and now want to switch from another TFS branch, an error occurs when the folder is already mapped. To solve this problem, you can go to Team-> Manage Workspace and click "Edit" to view a list of workspaces, and from there you can select workspaces that were previously mapped and cause the problem.

After that, try importing again from Eclipse and it will work.

The problems were resolved below.

  • Choose a team
  • Manage workspaces 3. Click Modify, then you will find all active workspaces.
  • Select a path from the source control folder
  • Click the "Delete" button. Now try to import the project.
