Multi-link HTML email addresses not showing up in hotmail

I am creating an html email with images embedded in cid links, and all this looks good in most mailboxes except hotmail. There, if I have two images referenced by the same cid in src, I don't see the second image. Does anyone know what this could be?

I suppose I once came across this. The pretty hacky solution I came across was to simply attach the same image twice using different cids. Solved the problem. If this works for you, great! If this does not happen, I look forward to a better solution.
