Google Chrome: Search This Site

Some time ago I made a website with wordpress, with my own theme.

Testing a site, finding an interesting feature in Google Chrome: If I start typing in a website address, it says: Press TAB to search this site . While doing this, I type in the address bar, go to www.meysite.com/?q = ... As if he knew the effect of my search forms.

Test in Chrome: open a new tab, enter stack to suggest stackoverflow.com , then press TAB and enter any term

But this function is available only after the user accessed the site and performed a search. I think that at this moment Chrome is β€œlearning” how.

My question is: is there a way to notify Chrome (and other browsers) that my site has a form / action for internal searches?

This feature is called OpenSearch .

As MartelDroid said, you can just see how to make stackoverflow to use it. From this link you can see the sample code fooobar.com/questions/406529 / ...
