Unable to create new project in android studio

  • So, I downloaded the Android Studio installation.
  • Added JAVA_HOME environment variable.
  • I installed the studio, and it went fine after quite experimenting.
  • Unable to create new coz project for this error -
Your Android SDK is out of date or is missing templates. Please ensure you are using SDK version 22 or later.
  • Changed project structure settings. Similar to this in windows . Still cannot create coz of the same error.
  • Verified SDK manager. He says that I already have version 22 of the SDK tools . Reinstall it. Still unable to create a new project.

What to do to make it work?

NOTE I don't have eclipse or anything else installed previously on Android system.
