Unofficial SDK - access to Sphero when charging?

I would like to access Sphero while charging using the node.js SDK .

This functionality is included in the official Android and iOS SDKs ( https://stackoverflow.com/a/3603432/... ), but not in any unofficial SDKs (based on my knowledge and research).

Is there any way to do this? This will open up many possibilities for visual use.

You can use the Sphero bluetooth API to write the appropriate command yourself in the node.js SDK.

Bluetooth API: https://github.com/orbotix/DeveloperResources

The command you sent is the SetOptionFlags (35h) command. You send the id byte of this command, followed by the payload, which is a bitmask. Set the first bit.

I warn you, however, that this is not supported. The battery may be completely discharged for a long time in the charger.

There is an option flag that can be turned on, which will make Sphero remain on in the charger, you can add it to your SDK, as ColdSnickersBar suggests, or you can use the Sphero app on iOS or Android.

This can be done in the Spero version of the application on iOS and Android on the Advanced Settings screen. For quick access to advanced settings, click "Sphero" in the middle of the usual settings screen, it can be difficult to call, it may take several attempts. After accessing it, turn off the โ€œSleep in chargerโ€ switch.

Caring for the ball in the charger can negatively affect battery life.
