How to implement fault tolerance in Lucene?

I am currently launching the only Lucene search engine for my platform - and would like to explore the possibility of deploying another server (mainly for reasons of failure)

I am using the Lucene.Net driver.

Any suggestions for best practices for this with the Lucene index of around 100,000 documents?
