Question

Is there any custom modification that keeps curly braces highlighted all the time when the cursor is in two brackets?

The default behavior is to briefly select only brackets, and then it disappears when the cursor is inside curly braces.

Colors are, of course, customizable.

You can also take a look at hl-sexp (available on MELPA). This emphasizes the innermost sex that is inside, which makes it easy to notice the brackets.

I think the library of rainbow delimiters may be what you are looking for. You may need some tuning to get it to your taste.
