Outlook html web client for email and ImageProxy.mvc

I have a problem with images in html emails in Outlook web client.

When you put the image as follows:

<img src="http://www.nortpalet.com/newsletter/green_btn.png"</a>

Outlook will change src to:

 https://dub112.mail.live.com/Handlers/ImageProxy.mvc?bicild=&canary=Gff8%2btl0q5SE4gsUVuSNwElf3c8f0rsyViXwF0k6Sy8%3d0&url=http%3a%2f%2fwww.nortpalet.com%2fnewsletter%2fgreen_btn.png

and the browser cannot find the image in this url.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Thanks!

Incidentally, we found that proxying in Microsoft email services is only used for HTTP images, and not for HTTPS. Therefore, if you have an HTTPS endpoint, just use it by default for HTTP.

Why do this for HTTP? I don’t know, but it’s possible to get rid of protected notifications about the presence of HTTP content on an HTTPS page.

Here you can check http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338201.aspx Outlook does not support some css attributes.

I ran into the same problem. Changing http to https showed that the image is displaying correctly.
