Google Cloud Storage Search Features

I'm going to use the Google infrastructure to store files, and I'm hesitating between Google Drive and Google Cloud Storage. I do not think that I will save a lot of data (less than 50 GB). However, I would like to offer search functionality through file contents (FULL TEXT) to my users. I know this is available using the Google Drive SDK https://developers.google.com/drive/search-parameters , but I'm not sure if this is for Google Cloud Storage files? I do not want to force my users to have a google account, and they will be able to share files with others, and they will do everything on their website.

Another question: is there a way to manage credentials using the Google APIs (create / update users)? without a gmail account?

thanks

Google Cloud Storage does not currently offer full-text search.

Identities require a Google / gmail account, but check the signed URLs: https://developers.google.com/storage/docs/accesscontrol#Signed-URLs .

Your application can determine if one of your users should have access to the application, and then pass the user a signed URL that provides access to this object for a limited period of time.
