Reverse Chronological Playback

Soundcloud is unbelievable. Compared to all other music-oriented sites, like a major computer science researcher and smart music fan, I can say that Soundcloud is a great creation in terms of purpose and design. To my (rudimentary and somewhat secondary) idea:

I believe that Soundcloud would be useful to have a function that allows reverse playback - not in terms of playing the song files themselves in reverse order, but in reverse chronological order. Enabling this option would simply be a matter of switching (maybe not a real word) i-- vs. i++ and additional conditional.

This will allow users to listen to their favorites in order from oldest to newest, to understand the development of artists over time, etc. Although this is not necessarily IMPORTANT, I believe that it is extremely utilitarian, especially when programs such as iTunes offer the ability to sort by date added / modified.

This can be done using the created_at label of the / tracks resource in the API.

Your question might be better directed to programers.stackexchange.com, as this site is more suitable for troubleshooting code related issues.

As HeatherSpence said, you can use the API to create your own player (possibly reverse-soundcloud.com ??) or just create a playlist in any order.
