KendoUI Integration in Durandal JS

I am creating a phonegap application and plan to use the Telerik Kendo user interface to create a user interface. The Telerik Kendo user interface already has an MVVM implementation, and I would like to use this and not include Knockout JS. Is this what is supported, or is Durandal JS deeply integrated with Knockout?
