Here is a quick guide using the toolbar:
Go to the "Navigation" section. Click Add New Menu .... Call it something obvious.

Click "Save." The navigation page should reload with the selected menu.
Click Add Content Item. Add your page for authentication only.

Save.
- Now go to the widgets. Change the current layer at the top to "Authenticated". Then, in the navigation section, click "Add" to add the widget. Make it a menu widget.
The zone should be "Navigation." The layer must be "Authenticated" . Make position 2 if you want it to be executed in the current menu. Do not show the name of the menu. And change the Inbox menu to your newly created Authenticated Menu .

Now check your site. You must have additional menu items!

NOTES: This adds an additional menu in addition to the existing one that all users will see, which means that your page source will have <article> and <ul> tags, etc. Depending on the topic, this may or may not be displayed the way you want. If you want the set of elements to be displayed for both anonymous and authentication, and then for additional users that must be presented to authenticated users, you can do this, or re-create the full menu and show it to the authenticated user. This would mean that you would need to move the main menu widget to an anonymous layer.
