Can Visual Studio wait before I leave the line to show me problems?

I like the (almost) immediate feedback on syntax errors and unused variables, etc. But I find that it distracts attention to what I highlight and de-highlight. Is there a way to leave this function, but make it wait until I cross the line to check it?

As far as I know, this is not possible.

What you can do is turn off the highlighting of semantic errors in real time to get semantic errors that are only reported during compilation. You can also completely get rid of error highlighting.

Both options are under Tools > Options > Text editors > C# > Advanced .
