Convert webarchive to html

I managed to put the behavior of a complex website into a web archive. After that, I would like to turn this webarchive into an html set of nested directories. However, when I did this with both Waf and commercial software bought from the Apple store, what I get is just a subdirectory with an html page at the bottom and without images, no css, no working links . If you're interested, the webarchive document is located at:

http://www.miafoto.it/it/GiroMilano.webarchive

while the weak extraction product has the form:

http://www.miafoto.it/it/Giromilano/Pagine/default.aspx

and empty directories above. In addition to the different look, the website exhibits the same behavior as the official website β€” when the list values are selected and then the button is pressed β€” while the extracted version creates a page with no content, loading itself, not the official page. Since you can see that the web archive is over 1 MB and the extraction is just over 1 KB.

What is wrong with this and how can I carry out such an obviously trivial business with useful results?

Thanks,

textutil -convert html example.webarchive
  • Be careful - html with files is created in the same folder as webarchive!
  • In addition, I had to open .html with a text editor and replace the links "file: ///image.tiff" (replace "file: ///" with "") so that they pointed to the relative path.
  • Also, not all browsers display .tiff images.

Who knew we had a wiki stack overflow ?

I managed to solve this problem by specifying all the parameters presented on the page and send them too in my script, ignoring the web archive.
