How to simulate HOLDING key presses in Keyboard Maestro?

Using Keyboard Maestro 5, I want to be able to simulate holding a certain key for a certain time for one of my macros. I am not sure if this is currently possible, and I still have to find a job. Any help would be appreciated on how this can be done.

An old post, but a general question about the Maestro keyboard.

Good news and bad news. Bad news:

Keyboard Maestro developer (currently version 7) says:

"No, the Maestro keyboard cannot press and hold any button or key."

Now the good news. Another poster on this forum reads:

The carabiner is perfect ... Define a key combo in the carabiner and match this with your KM macro.
