Is there any tool / plugin that controls application memory usage during debugging / launching

I am creating an application that works with large images and data caching. I use a top-level model phone, which, I believe, can deal with memory problems better than with other phones. I just want to make sure that it can also work on other phones. Is there any tool or application in eclipse or a separate one that can control memory usage. It will be great if I can see the size of the heap; whether data is collected by garbage immediately after completion of the activity; and etc.

thanks

Basically, what you are looking for is Heap and Distribution in DDMS. In Eclipse, you can open the DDMS perspective by clicking Window->Open Perspective->Other...->DDMS .

In the future, you can click on the device you want to track, find the application you want to track on the Devices tab. Click the Update Heap button (green cylinder icon), and the Heap tab will open on the right. In this perspective, distribution tracing can also be used to track the distribution of objects.

In addition, there is the DDMS Documentation tool.
